Episode 153 – Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout

We once again find ourselves in beer courtesy of Chris Quinn, and this time he brought us another brew from Goose Island in Chicago, IL. The Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout is billed as being one of the best beers in the world, and it certainly is up there. If you love big, sticky, 13% imperial stouts mixed with the highest quality coffee, this beer may be for you. It scored high with both of us (higher with Dave) but we both agreed that this is probably one for the cellar, and will age insanely well.

Agreed! Maybe the most balanced, complex stout I've had. Sticky sweet???? Nooooo

What? Are you questioning my expertise, son? Well this just won't stand!

  • http://twitter.com/quinnsi Chris Quinn

Of course not! How could I refute one of the two guys on beer :)

  • http://davemartorana.com Dave Martorana

Well, don't tell anyone, but pretty easily probably :)

  • castello

Had myself an 07 Bourbon County Brand Stout last weekend. That was insanely good, I can only imagine how good adding coffee to it would make it

    Still the best beer ever.

  • Trevor from KY

Try the coffee stout from Schlafly, brewed in St. Louis. Its really, really good as well.
