Episode 144 – Pacifico

Pacifico, sometimes called Pacifico Clara, is from the Grupo Modelo, the large beverage conglomerate in Mexico City responsible for a large swath of Mexican beers including Corona. Pacifico claims to be the 15th largest selling imported beer in the US, but is yet another representation of an American Adjunct Lager focused on the portion of the US market that drinks under-flavored, watered-down pilsners in mass quantities. Yet again we’re disappointed with a beer coming from south of the border, and really hope to beat the odds next time.
