Episode 139 – Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale

Sent to us by the awesome Chris Quinn, the Half Acre Beer Company in Chicacgo, IL, has a hop-head’s dream in their Daisy Cutter Pale Ale. While there’s not much malt balance, the hopping lends to an almost unbelievably life-like white-grapefruit flavor that delights us both. (For those wondering who Johnny throws the beer cap at, some friends decided to join us for taping and make fun of Johnny :) ).

    Yeah, Half Acre's only distributing within Chicago city limits for now I believe. Daisy Cutter is certainly a grapefruit bomb, although when completely fresh, it's like a fresh cut lawn (maybe another reason behind the name)
