Episode 137 – Kasteel Donker (Kasteel Bruin)

From the Van Honsebrouck Brewery, this Belgian Strong Dark ale comes in at a whopping 11% ABV. While not outside the range of a Belgian Strong Dark, it’s certainly a hearty beer. We find this to be a fantastic desert beer, with a wonderfully complex, multi-stage flavor profile. The Kasteel Donker (also known as the Kasteel Bruin) earns high marks and high praises from both of us.
