Episode 114 – Arcadia Jaw-Jacker

We’ve loved just about everything we’ve tried from Arcadia Brewing Company in Battle Creek, Michigan. Turns out, the Jaw-Jacker is no exception. Although this steps slightly to the side of an actual “Pumpkin Ale” (because it has no pumpkin, a mistake many people make) it does use the spices you would expect, and is in fact a Spiced Beer. Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice – it’s all there in a fantastic tribute to Pumpkin Pie. A 95 from Johnny and a 92 from Dave means you have to go try this!

    95!? Wow,,,but,,,, could you drink more than one or two. I used to love the Pyramid(I think) pumpkin because is was suttle pumpkinish. I haven't had a pumpkin beer in years but I'll try to find this one. I've heard of Arcadia but don't think I've had any of their stuff. Do they get out here to the real coast?

    Believe it! We're higher than most on this beer, but it was just so
    pleasant and exactly what the season called for.

    I'm not sure what their distro is, but worth seeking out. Their
    “cereal killer” barleywine is insane.
