Episode 084 – Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout

The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery in Farmville, NC, named for the founder’s love for philosophy and visual tricks, turns out a Milk Stout – one in a line of their self-proclaimed speciality, dark beers. To an odd contrary, their Milk Stout is actually lighter in color than most stouts, but still turns in a great flavor – roasted, coffee, slightly dry, and smooth!

Went on the brewery tour and been hooked since, its a great taste and right beside the company I currently work for. Glad to see others far away are enjoying it as much as we do. Those two guys that run it really know what they are doing.

That Milk Stout sounds awesome. I'll see if I can get some here on the left coast. Good show. I'm always looking for a Real Pilsner. Pilsner Urquel is my standard and I still love it. Have you found anything near it? I've had the Chekvar but it's a little boring after one.
  • @Michael - we got that at the Foodery in Philadelphia. There are two locations, one in Northern Liberties and one at 10th and Pine -

That sound like a winner. I like stouts. Where do you get that around here?
  • I've had this at the South Philly Tap Room a few times. It's amazing! I need to stock this in my fridge!
