Episode 084 – Duck-Rabbit Milk Stout

The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery in Farmville, NC, named for the founder’s love for philosophy and visual tricks, turns out a Milk Stout – one in a line of their self-proclaimed speciality, dark beers. To an odd contrary, their Milk Stout is actually lighter in color than most stouts, but still turns in a great flavor – roasted, coffee, slightly dry, and smooth!

I’ve had this at the South Philly Tap Room a few times. It’s amazing! I need to stock this in my fridge!

That sound like a winner. I like stouts. Where do you get that around here?

@Michael – we got that at the Foodery in Philadelphia. There are two locations, one in Northern Liberties and one at 10th and Pine –

That Milk Stout sounds awesome. I’ll see if I can get some here on the left coast. Good show. I’m always looking for a Real Pilsner. Pilsner Urquel is my standard and I still love it. Have you found anything near it? I’ve had the Chekvar but it’s a little boring after one.

Went on the brewery tour and been hooked since, its a great taste and right beside the company I currently work for. Glad to see others far away are enjoying it as much as we do. Those two guys that run it really know what they are doing.
