Episode 064 (Take 2) – Gluten Free Beer – Lakefront New Grist Beer, ABInBev Redbridge Gluten Free

Some people don’t drink beer because they have a gluten intolerance. This is not acceptable! Beer is to be enjoyed by all! Therefore, we decided we would start periodically looking at “Gluten Free” beers made around the world. We didn’t necessarily hit a home run this episode, but we didn’t totally strike out either.

We try the first ever gluten free beer, Lakefront’s New Grist Beer, and try out ABInBev’s offering, the Redbridge Gluten Free beer. Check it out!

Hey guys! Love the new intro/ending, its fantastic! I have a little link to some Belgian-style Gluten free beers that we can get on our hands on in AK, so I'm assuming you guys have them on the east coast too.

  • @alex - It's true, the original encode failed almost every system - it was a problem with our source movie. We've replaced it, hopefully you will come back and watch the rest!

@Cass - you were a bit of an inspiration for the episode - we mentioned meeting you at the i-Site party!

@steve - stop stealing our music! :) Just kidding, we found it on a website called Podsafe, Google for it and you'll come across it. I don't have the name of the song right in front of me. As to your suggestions - I had a longer version, the rest of the team didn't like it! HA, I just sold them out :) We hope to polish the bumpers a bit more, but the thanks go to Vince, Johnny's brother for the awesome After Effects work.

1st thing - I love that song! Who sings it, and where can I find it?

2nd thing - Love the new intro/outro! Looks like really good production value. I could totally see the intro lasting another 15 seconds or so... maybe some B-roll of beer/bars, a couple clips of the guys, and hard stopping point with another graphic instead of a fade-out. And the outro music could fade in before the final cut fades out. Wow, look at me tryin' to tell you guys how to run the show... I'll take off my thinking cap now and just tell you great job!

This is very cool! Thanks for reviewing some gluten free beers. I have to say that I agree with you on the Red Bridge. But in all honesty, you get used to the taste. Especially when you're watching a football game and there really isn't another option (no way am I sipping white wine while the Eagles are on). Do you think you could include some info on where to get the gluten free beers you try? Would be much appreciated. You guys rock!

First, I'm pumped that you guys did (even a quick) show on gluten free beer. Second, what's up with vimeo!? It says the video is 12 minutes long or so, but it just dies after 6. It bums me out because redbridge is the only gluten free beer that I knew I could get in the US, so I'd love to find out what you thought of the other one.
