Episode 16 - Georgia Brews from Jeff, Part 1

Jeff, aka “Arkhamresident”, sent us a ton of Georgia beer that we’re diving in to. Today we do a few from Terrapin Brewery a contract brewer happy with strong, full flavored beers. We talk about Terrapin’s India Style Brown Ale, Golden Ale (with maize malts!), and a TGOB first - their award winning Rye Pale Ale. Go Rye!

(Show notes to come!!)

You were pretty spot on with those three in ranking. I LOVE the Rye Pale Ale. The IBA is good but on first taste kind of odd. Now the Golden Ale is one that I really don’t care for. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but I don’t like it.

Terrapin has their own brewery in Athens now. It happened last year IIRC. They put out a good amount of seasonals which are also quite nice and high ABV.

@arkhamresident - Again, ridiculous amounts of thanks! As for the order in which we tasted:

We wanted to end on the Rye since it was the most acclaimed, and didn’t want the Brown to overpower the taste of the Rye. So the Golden was the middleman that got crapped on ;)

meh.
