Episode 08 - Recession-Proof Beers!
The economy is tight - dare I say we’re in a recession? We’ll leave that to the experts, but most people are having to tighten their belts a little. That doesn’t mean you should have to give up on beer!
We talk about three “recession-proof” beers - cheap beers that can be had for less than $1/beer, but that don’t completely lack taste or desire.
Put down that Miller Light or Bud Light and try out a couple of beers you may never have heard of (and one I can almost guarantee you have) and learn to have a beer on the cheap!

I’ll work overtime before I touch the crap you’re showing today. You guys need to check out goodbeershow.com.
Nice Jimmy. I was waiting for the beer snob beast to rear it’s ugly head.
My cheap beer of choice is Beck’s. I can get 24 ounce bottles at the QuikTrip near my house for $1.99. That’s a whopping $5.97 for the equivalent of a six.
Good Beer = Beer Snob. What I coincidence, I drink the Becks too but no way am I touching the PBR. I drank those in 1977 and even had a PRB belt buckle. Very trendy revival. I’ll die with money in the bank and I’ll be damned thinking I drank bad beer in 2008
Hell, I don’t like anything they showed either but I didn’t call it crap. Snobbery isn’t in the products you use it’s in the attitude.

One of my favorite beers for under a dollar is Genessee Cream Ale. It’s about $4 for a sixer (in south jersey) and is a really good pounder. http://www.geneseebeer.com/
