Episode 002 – Phila. Brewing Co. Kenzinger

Our second episode takes on Philadelphia Brewing Co. new Kenzinger pilsner. We also get into the story behind the split of Yards and Philadelphia Brewing Co.

The Kenzinger is just one of 4 beers being offered by the newly named brewery. Others that you can find are Newbold IPA, Walt Wit, and the Row House Red. We will be doing a complete tasting of all of these fine brews in a future episode but for now it is all Kenzinger!

Cheers!

  • Hey Father Spoon,

Thanks so much for the education. Actually the Yards brew we were referring to when we said ESB was ESA which, if you check the Yards website does stand for Extra Special Ale. Our mistake on the acronym. Once again we appreciate your education and hope you like the show.
  • guys, ESB is Extra Special or Strong Bitter, not Extra Special Brew.

Pending on which style you're drinking, Yuengling for the most part brews lagers, Miller Light is a pilsner. BIG difference.

    cheers!
  • When is your first TGOB Live show?
  • This really reminds me of the first few episodes of Winelibrary! Keep it up!

"The Yuengling Brewery is a regional brewer that has manufacturing plants in Pottsville, PA and Tampa, FL. Currently we distribute our products over a ten state area along the eastern seaboard. While there is significant interest for our products nationwide, unfortunately we do not have the manufacturing capabilities to service customers across the United States. As a result, our focus and efforts continues to be on our loyal customers and markets that are logistically feasible to our production facilities."
